Faith First Dating

You can’t be a WE if you don’t have a ME

The desire to form meaningful relationships is a natural part of being human. Having been created by a relational God, our need for connection is an inherent and vital aspect of health and happiness.

Relationally, the two most important decisions you will ever make are choosing to make God your primary relational connection and choosing a spouse who shares your faith and devotion to God.

Before you date

Cultivate all of the qualities you hope to find in a partner… in yourself.

  • Want a partner who is attentive and respectful? Spent time becoming attentive and respectful of others.
  • Looking for a partner with the same moral compass and ethical standards you hold dear? Clearly define and clarify the moral compass and ethical standard to which you hold yourself.
  • Desire a partner who cherishes God’s Word and seeks Spiritual Maturity. Focus on being a diligent student of the Word and strive for spiritual maturity in your own life.

The more self-aware, self-defined, and self-regulated you become, the more likely it is that you will be drawn to and draw a person of higher moral character and spiritual maturity.

Develop your ME before you seek a WE.
