Online Booking Policies

Booking an appointment, exchanging emails, or receiving a text or email confirmation and/or reminder message from The Natural Relational Health Institute does not establish a client/therapist or client/provider relationship. A client/therapist relationship is only established following the written consent of both the client and the therapist during the client’s new client consultation. Established clients are free to choose between in-office, online video, and phone appointments where available. All clients agree to provide payment information during their first session. Online sessions require a computer or device with camera and microphone access and a compatible browser or telehealth application. Upon written request, a summary of services received at The Natural Relational Health Institute can be provided to the requesting client. Please note: confidentiality survives death. Without prior written consent, any information obtained during the course of a professional therapeutic relationship will not be discussed or released to a deceased client’s family, significant other, agency, or executor. Confidentiality must be breached in the following situations: (1) If the service provider perceives the client to be a direct or immediate danger to self or others; or (2) if the service provider learns that a child, elder, or dependent adult is being neglected or abused.

Virtual Therapy and Videoconferencing Services Disclaimer

Virtual therapy and/or videoconferencing services are best utilized by clients who demonstrate appropriate self-care and self-management ability. These services are not appropriate for clients in need of immediate or crisis care. Clients who demonstrate any propensity for harm to themselves or others will be referred to an appropriate crisis center. Clients who believe they are in need of immediate assistance should call their local crisis center, dial 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing or texting 988. Clients deemed inappropriate for online virtual therapy will be referred to an appropriate crisis care center and/or moved to an in-office format at the discretion of their service provider and/or The Natural Relational Health Institute.

Faith-Integrated Counseling: Policies and Procedures

The Natural Relational Health Institute is grounded in a philosophy that seeks to help individuals, couples, families, and organizations find harmony with themselves, others, and God in the communities and larger systems where they live, play, worship, and work. To that end, we provide Biblically-based services to those who wish to explore and/or enhance their relational, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual well-being. While we welcome and work with clients who embrace a variety of faith beliefs and backgrounds, as well as those who do not identify a specific form of spirituality or faith, we are open about our reliance on Biblical principles for guidance and direction. Faith-integrated counseling is best utilized by individuals who self-identify as Christian and/or a follower of Jesus Christ and desire the integrated use of Biblical principles in their care. Such services are only provided at the client’s explicit request. The Natural Relational Health Institute is dedicated to serving all individuals, couples, and families of all racial, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Should our services fall outside the range of counseling most fitting to your unique needs, we will be happy to provide referrals to alternative service providers.
